The Spectralink KIRK IP Base Station that has 12 simultaneous traffic channels (32 Kbit/s), controls the traffic in the air and works as the link between the KIRK Handsets and the KIRK Wireless Server 6000. Each KIRK IP Base Station covers a circular area between 50 and 600 meters in diameter. Before installation, the location needs to be assessed in order to define the number of KIRK IP Base Stations required to achieve the desired coverage, as coverage depends on location specifics such as building materials.
