It has dual 3.5" SATA drive bays, each of which is equipped with a 14TB IronWolf Pro 7200 rpm SATA III 3.5" Enterprise-class hard drive, for a total storage capacity of 28TB. The LaCie STHJ28000800 may also be used with Thunderbolt 3 hosts and is cooled using its aluminum enclosure with improved heat dissipation, as well as a thermoregulated Noctua cooling fan.
