The AS106 includes two 6.5" coaxial 2-way ceiling loudspeakers that sound rather good. Each speaker comes with a 6.5" woofer, a 20 mm dome tweeter, and the capacity to handle 60 W RMS and 120 W peak (8) power. By utilizing its 100–20 kHz bandwidth and wide coverage, which enable fewer speakers to be utilized to cover the listening area to reduce the cost of the system installed, excellent and consistent sound quality is maintained.

A matching transformer is included inside the loudspeaker and may operate smoothly at 8 volts or 70 or 100 volts to meet the needs of different applications. By using a coaxial neodymium magnetic driver, phase problems are reduced, allowing sound waves from different frequency bands to combine more easily rather than cancel each other out. The housing, which is made of UL94-V0-compliant flame retardant materials, improves safety for situations where flame and fire protection are of the utmost concern, together with the zinc-coated steel backcan. Each speaker has a cutout template for quick and simple installation after construction, and it may be fixed using its dog-leg mounting method.
